We are all excited for Spring.  We will be starting our Spring theme next week.   We may actually be able to find signs of Spring this year.

We had fun with our Valentines party and our field trip to the Museum to look at dinosaurs and our special carpenter visit, in February.  We also discovered some cool pets at PJ Pets WEM  at the end of the month.  (Pictures have finally been posted)

We started  our Christmas Around the World this week.  So far we have been to the far north, Canada, Germany, Poland, Ukaraine, Australia, and New Zealand.  The kids have made advent calendars, christmas pillow cases and christmas spiders.  They have enjoyed gingerbread boys & girls and cheese scones.    They listened to six white boomers and are a little confused about the christmas on the beach picture they saw of Australia (LOL)

We have learned about migration and hibernation.  The PJ hibernation day was lots of fun.  (Today the weather is more for hibernation).   We have also talked about what other animals do in winter.   the rabbit changes its coat from brown to white.  The squirrels store food (we have watched the backyard squirrels carrying little apples across the wires.   We talked about the mice and merlin pouncing on them.  :/  (just playing right).

We husked corn today.  One three year old informed me that she thought farmers work (husking corn) was way to hard :|.  The other children were fine with the work and one even started eating the corn as soon as he finished husking it.:)
